About Amark

It all started in 1978 in the month of august on a hot sunny day in a small sign shop in Fresno, California.

My shop was so small that you could stand in the middle and almost touch all four walls. It was upstairs, not quite the place you would want to be at that time of the year, but I guess it had to start somewhere.

At first, the family wasn't completely on board with the idea of going into the tee shirt business but they came around and they have been very supportive over the many years. In the early years both of my daughters worked answering the phone and talking to customers. Now erin, my oldest daughter, is a full time employee and has a list of her own customers that she tends to. Then about 25 years ago robin, my wife, began working full time in the business and she has been such a valuable partner.

The most enjoyable thing about this business is getting to meet all of the wonderful customers that we have had over the years. Seeing a pencil sketch turn into a design on a shirt is quite rewarding. So just the very fact that every day there is something new to create, someone new to talk to or perhaps talking to someone that you haven't seen in years gives me the drive to continue to do this.
